Who is Chibi Moku? We are the darndest hard workin’ little story tellin’ duo in the world. One a cinematographer…the other a photographer. When people ask us if we like what we do, we tell them that we can’t even imagine a better job! We travel all over the world (and when in the US, out of our RV) capturing content for international builders, architects, interior designers, & architectural preservation organizations. We edit & live off the grid as sustainably as possible. Our love for our little company is only exceeded by our love for each other…so everything we do is done with passion!

Joshua is from north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Natsuko is from Osaka, Japan. We met in 2005 in Vancouver, Canada. When we met, neither one of us knew the other’s language…at all! Neither one of us had proper long term visas either. Never-the-less, those were 2 amazingly fun yet communicatively painful years of our lives. We moved to Hawaii to keep our visas fresh and our love a-grown! However, visas expire in America too…so we tried Asia. After a few bounces from Japan to renew visas in China…then Korea…then Guam…we decided…heck, let’s just get married!

So after years of traveling in Asia and living in Japan to keep our love a-float, traveling just became second nature to us. We studied our tails off in regards cinematography, photography, journalism, & architecture in Japan and then risked it all moving to the U.S.

Now we travel all over the US full-time in our 19ft mobile studio. It’s actually just a box…but we love it! We have a truck full of water jugs, propane, a generator, and…well…everything we own. We are side by side growing our art together daily and truly living an adventure. While this is the funnest to live life in our book, it’s really is the only way to pursue our documentaries & small business. The logistics are ridiculous.

We focus our documentaries on young creative companies (young at heart) who understand what we bring to the table. We let our work speak for itself…and hopefully our artistry shows through. We are 100% commissioned by our clients and are not affiliated with any other company or organization.
